On 26 and 29 April, students of the Interpersonal Communication course represented the School of Communication to join the “Discipline ⨉ Healthy Lifestyle” (DHL) project and conducted a series of interactive classroom activities in Gertrude Simon Lutheran College and Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Shatin), to strengthen secondary school students’ ability in dealing with interpersonal relationships and communication challenges. Organized by the Center for Holistic Teaching and Learning (CHTL), the DHL project runs in the form of a competition with an aim to reward HKBU students who demonstrate creativity, commitment, and professionalism in applying their disciplinary knowledge in promoting Healthy Lifestyle to their younger peers. About 200 HKBU students joined the competition and delivered learning activities to 16 local secondary schools, covering about 1700 secondary students, in between March and May 2019. The Interpersonal Communication teams won the Silver Award and Merit Award in the competition.
