The School of Communication and the Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals'Association hosted the "Into the Unknown: World of Frozen PR Sharing" guest lecture, where the Hong Kong Disneyland Communications and Public Affairs team made a special appearance on our campus! The event took place on Monday, 29th of January 2024.

This was the first time HKDL unveiled their behind-the-scenes efforts and secrets for launching the world's first and largest "Frozen" themed land, "World of Frozen," which opened its gates in November 2023. Ms. Lana Wong, Director of Communications and Public Affairs at HKDL; Ms. Holly Wong, Manager of Corporate Citizenship at HKDL; and Mr. Samuel Lam, Manager of Media Relations at HKDL, shared insights into the cross-departmental cooperation, innovative communication strategies, social media campaigns, and the incredible global outreach that aims to elevate HKDL's stature and attract a multitude of tourists to our beloved city, HK.

This student-led event, organized by final-year PR students under the guidance of Dr Angela Mak, Associate Professor of the Department of Communication Studies, HKBU, was a visual extravaganza infused with Disney's signature style. The event also featured a Disney characters costume competition.

The event attracted over 150 attendees, including undergraduate and postgraduate Communication students from Hong Kong Baptist University, faculty members, and PR students from other universities and institutions.
