The Research Grants Council of Hong Kong has awarded two faculty members from COMS competitive General Research Fund (GRF) grants. Dr. Vivien Shuo Zhou and Dr. Lola Wanying Xie have each secured funding for their groundbreaking research projects in the field of health communication.
Dr. Zhou's project, "The Power of Narratives in Mental Health Promotion: Examining the SHARE Intervention in a Randomized Controlled Trial," has been awarded approximately HK$630,000. Dr. Xie's research, "'My Eating Disorder Recovery Story' – Patient-constructed Recovery Narratives of Eating Disorders on Social Media: the Health Impact of Recovery Narrative on Both Content Creators and Audiences," also received significant funding of approximately HK$130,000. Both projects promise to contribute valuable insights to their respective areas of study.
