Since 2015, the School of Communication has established a solid “triangular relationship” with two world renowned universities, The University of Leipzig in Germany and The Ohio University in the United States, both of which are leaders in the field of communication. This year, more than a dozen of students and faculty members from these two universities visited our campus from 11 to 15 March 2019 to experience HKBU’s vibrant learning environment and school culture.
During the visit, the students attended lectures and worked with local COMS students in two groups to develop a communication campaign proposal for Red Bull, a multinational energy drink company. They also visited the office of the local English newspaper South China Morning Post (SCMP) and met student representatives of The Young Agency (TYA) and The Young Communication Professionals (YCP) to gain first-hand experience and a multi-dimensional understanding of the work and study environment in Hong Kong.
Guided by the 6 COMS students who joined last year’s program to the Ohio University, the delegation also visited famous tourist destinations such as the Peak and Lamma Island, and enjoyed the cuisine of Hong Kong!
