The Netherlands

Feeling empty when an academic year draws to an end? To curb the feeling swelling up, this summer we had a great time in the Netherlands. So memorable was our visit to the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ERMeCC) of Erasmus University Rotterdam. We attended talks held by the faculty in an impressive architecture which houses the school as well as its top-notch research facilities. The visit was fruitful in the way that we brought home with research ideas which will push back the frontiers of communication studies.

Amsterdam is indeed a hub of fashion and style and we were lucky enough to spend a day in Image Factory, a PR and marketing agency specializing in fashion, beauty, lifestyle and branding. We enjoyed the challenge of a tiny campaign competition and we were awarded for our innovative ideas of PR strategy planning. On a wall of Image Factory, we found a statement worth-remembering: Creativity is intelligence having fun!
