Industry experts Edith Lo and Agnes Hui from The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) and The Wharf (Holdings) Limited delivered a guest lecture on corporate social responsibility and stakeholder engagement, organized by Professor Angela Mak.

The session provided students with practical insights into industry challenges and innovative approaches currently being implemented in the public utilities and property development sectors. The speakers emphasized key principles for effective CSR practices, including transparency, inclusion, and sustainable impact strategies.

During the lecture, the two industry experts shared their expertise on employee empowerment methodologies. They demonstrated how companies can address social and environmental issues through strategic communication and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Following the guest lecture, Year 4 Public Relations students will apply these insights in upcoming field studies. Students will form research groups to conduct investigations within the public utilities and property developer sectors over the coming weeks. The objective is to develop feasible proposal ideas that can generate meaningful social impact, utilizing the knowledge gained from industry professionals.
