Communication Training Workshop Held for Foreign Domestic Workers in Hong Kong Communication Training Workshop Held for Foreign Domestic Workers in Hong Kong

On December 1st, Dr. Henry Fung, in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, organized a communication training workshop for 60 foreign domestic workers.

The workshop was held on the HKBU campus and featured 38 students from the PRAD3076 Communication Training for Organizations course, who conducted training sessions across five key areas:

• Cultural differences between the Philippines and Hong Kong

• Building employer relationships

• Emotional intelligence and resilience

• Cultural diversity and awareness

• Conflict management and difficult conversations

Vice Consul Mr. Angelo Manuel attended the event and hopes such collaborations can enhance communication skills and cultural understanding among foreign domestic workers in Hong Kong.

It is the second year of the service-learning project between Dr. Fung and the Consulate.
